Eric Dahl

Eric Dahl has played guitar since he was 5 years old and has been a guitar collector for over 40 years.  He holds a music minor in Jazz and Classical guitar and briefly studied at Belmont.  His small claim to fame was the purchase and return of B.B. King’s stolen 80th Birthday Lucille from a Las Vegas Pawnshop in 2009.  Mr. King then allowed him to write a book on all of his Lucille’s titled “B.B. King’s Lucille and the Loves Before Her” which released in 2013.  Dahl is a contributing editor for The Blue Book of Electric and Acoustic Guitar Values and provides instrument values for pawnshops and music stores around the country.  Eric developed and hosts a weekly music/music gear based TV show in Nashville TN called the “FOX 17 Rock & Review” that was established in 2012 and has aired over 300 episodes to date.

He is a published freelance writer with over 1,000 articles to his credit covering music gear, artists, music books and vintage instruments and has written for: Maverick Country magazine (UK), Guitar Tech + Recording, Collectible Guitar magazine, Worship Musician magazine and Christian Musician magazine.  Front page magazine features have included: Tommy Emmanuel, Brian (Head Welch), Thousand Foot Krutch, Stu G, Kiefer Sutherland, JD Simo and Daniel Donato.  Maverick Country Magazine promoted him to Life Style Editor in August of 2015. He was made Nashville Bureau Chief for Guitar Tech + Recording and Worship Musician Magazines in 2017.

Acme Radio Gear Gab launched in September of 2016 and has been a hit with musicians and music gear manufacturers.  The show is dedicated to cover the musical instruments and gear that artists use to tour and record their albums plus we spin three of their songs!

Dahl is co-authoring a biography on Nashville guitar sensation Johnny Hiland that will hopefully release in 2018.

In his spare time Eric is a third-generation vintner continuing the tradition of making Dahl Haus Homemade wine, writes and performs his originals, plays Senior Centers with his daughter, plays guitar at his church each Sunday and rides a ’99 Harley Fatboy when time permits. He also enjoys family time with his wife and daughter Taylor who is constantly performing in school plays.
