
Eric Dahl
Eric Dahl is a TV/Radio show host, writer for multiple magazines, published author, guitar collector, guitarist, singer, songwriter, winemaker and Harley enthusiast based in Nashville, TN. He was born in Peoria, IL and raised in rural Southeast Missouri. He has played guitar since he was 5 years old thanks to his father, Jerry Dahl, who was a bassist. Dahl holds a BA in Mass Communications and a Music Minor in Jazz and Classical guitar from Southeast Missouri State University and briefly studied at Belmont University. Eric came to national attention in 2009 when he purchased and returned B.B. King’s previously stolen 80th Birthday Lucille from a Las Vegas Pawnshop. King then permitted him to write a book on all of his Lucille’s titled “B.B. King’s Lucille and the Loves Before Her” which he released in 2013. A 2nd Edition of the B.B. King Lucille book released in October of 2020 with Centerstream Publishing and included six new chapters and a forward by the late Southern Rock/Country Music Legend Charlie Daniels! Dahl is a contributing editor for The Blue Book of Electric and Acoustic Guitar Values and provides instrument values for pawnshops, music stores and individuals around the world.

After moving to Nashville, TN in 2011, Eric previously resided in Las Vegas, NV for ten years. He launched the “Rock & Review with Eric Dahl” on FOX 17 News. The interviews began in 2012 and over 750 music-based segments have aired to date. In these interviews Dahl focuses on musical artists, bands and music related authors of all genres of music. The “Rock & Review with Eric Dahl” also airs on FOX 39 in Chattanooga, TN and FOX 45 in Baltimore, MA besides airing nationally through the STIRR App, www.fox17.com and extended interviews on the YouTube channel at rockandreview17.

In July of 2020 the Rock & Review TV show launched, a half hour program featuring extended length previously non-broadcast artist interviews. The show premiered in Nashville, TN and began airing weekly on FOX 17 with over 80 episodes. The program is also shown in Tri-Cities, TN and via the STIRR App.

From September 2016 through February 2020 Eric hosted a bi-weekly hour-long radio program, Acme Radio Gear Gab, on Acme Radio Live streaming radio from downtown Nashville in the studio at Acme Feed & Seed for three and a half years.
Dahl’s iHeart Radio show, FOX 17 Rock & Review Radio, was a weekly hour-long radio show that aired from December 2018 until October of 2021. Eric is currently in negotiations to launch a new Radio/Podcast show.

To date Dahl has had over 10,000 published articles covering music gear, artists, music books and vintage instruments and has written for: Maverick Country magazine (UK), Guitar Tech + Recording, Collectible Guitar magazine, Worship Musician magazine, American Songwriter, Guitar World, Music Radar and Christian Musician magazine. Front page features have included: Tommy Emmanuel, Brian “Head” Welch, Thousand Foot Krutch, Stu G, Kiefer Sutherland, JD Simo and Daniel Donato. Maverick Country Magazine promoted Eric to US Editor in 2021.

Dahl has several more books in the works with his new publisher and is already working on his third book.
In his spare time Eric enjoys time with his daughter, reading, traveling, making homemade wine and making music whenever he is given the opportunity.
